Rarity for Nazegoreng by adamlhumphreys Rarity for Nazegoreng by adamlhumphreys
My part of a trade with :iconnazegoreng:! :D (Also, I’m not currently open for trades. :))

Though this is probably my best plush base to date! (IMO ^^;) But as you careful observers may have noticed (like I did after stuffing the body and looking at a screenshot to compare the body shape)… I somehow managed to get her cutiemark backwards. :iconrarityfacedeskplz: I now have the cutiemarks printed on my pattern so that should never happen again. :stare:

Her mane is wireless, but her tail are wired for posable accuracy. I’m still undecided how I will do both regularly, as wire really does help substantially to keep it’s shape and give it great rigidity.

Isn't it awful doing Rarity's mane?

:XD: Actually, it's not all that bad. I place it on the same level as Pinkie Pie and Applejack. The benefit of Rarity is most of the stitches are straight stitches. :D

Oh. I thought it would be horrible because her mane were all curled. /)?

Not too bad. I just sew them in place, but I do use wire for the tail which is no big. :)

Thank you! ^^

They generally take anywhere from 20 to 30 hours to complete. :) (And that doesn't include pattern development/cutting. :O)

All minky and ultra cuddle have a some stretch, usually in one direction, so yes. :)

Also, thank you so much for the faves and watch! :D I’ll try not to disappoint.

So here I was banging my head against a textbook when I decided to take a break and look at my DA messages and stuff, and there's this poll that leads me to look at your Rarity and long story short-
Bravo. /That/ is a Rarity plush. Those legs are /beautiful/! Everything is so... delightfully curvy. And I'll be honest with you, this is the first plush I've ever looked at and thought "dat plot". Your hard work has payed off, Adam. Bravo again. I can no longer offer you any tips, because I have none left for you. I hereby certify you, by nonexistent powers I don't have, a plush pony master. A round of applause is in order, and then your coronation episode.

Ironically enough, my last three pattern iterations haven't been quite as good as this particular one. I'm still trying to correct/improve a few things and haven't been too successful yet. :iconajawkwardsmileplz:

She's absolutely beautiful, and adorable! That rear three-quarter view especially looks perfect and like she was taken straight out of the cartoon.

None of them are for sell at the moment. I'm preparing for Brony Fest at the end of March. If I don't get a regular job in April with a particular company which recently interviewed me, then I may well still be looking and will probably open for commissions. (I still have more development to do for Twilight, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy.) Who were you interested in? I can put you on a list of contacts if/when I start making that character. :)

Sorry they have to cost so much. :iconraritysadfaceplz: Rainbow Dash herself may be slightly easier than Spitfire in some respects, but finding all the materials isn't too easy.

Needles, thread, fabric, and a pattern [link] :)
But I do admit that tools and materials aren't free. I've paid quite a bit to get what I got, but even a simple zig-zag machine can go for as little as $25, which would also be great for appliquéd eyes and cutiemarks. :)

:XD: Well, if you go the machine route (which I'd recommend), then I'd suggest Joann's (or sometimes even Walmart). For fabric, thread, and other sewing materials there's also Hobby Lobby. Now, ultra cuddle is only available at Joann's, but it's a bit difficult to work with (that's what I used much earlier, but here is my very first plushie: [link] ). Smooth minky fabric (that doesn't have dots or dimples on it), is almost only available online unfortunately. :( For whatever reason, it's almost impossible to find in local stores and Joann's usually only has one or two colors of smooth. :O

Pretty hard to top what everyone else has already said--this really is one of the most beautiful, well-formed plushies I've ever seen. And without trying to sound weird, I have to say that her butt looks absolutely fantastic--very well 'shaped.' :D
