All Shall Bow by adamlhumphreys All Shall Bow by adamlhumphreys
I had done this piece earlier this past summer. I wanted symbolically represent God in Psalm 22:29, specifically, “All those who go down to the dust shall bow before Him, even he who cannot keep himself alive.” So I immediately thought about the miniature wedge sockets I used in another project and thought this would be perfect!

I’m not sure if I’m happy about the wire being white instead of my usual black. …Oh, well.

Uses 64, 193 miniature bulbs dominantly wired in series and a 60 watt squirrel cage/macaroni filament bulb.
120V, 56 Watts

Oh, is that one of that old-fashioned Bulbs with a filament made out of carbon instead of Tungsten?

OooOo. Thank you for the awesome :+fav:s and llama! :w00t:
I must say though, it is an old-fashioned style bulb, but it is a replica. [link] (At least it’s an accurate replica. :D) However, even the original antique squirrel-cage/macaroni filament bulbs were made of tungsten. I have 4 functional antiques of these bulbs though which can be seen in the 3rd row from the front in this piece: [link] You’ll notice the real vacuum tubes on top and cotton in the base except the larger one, though still an antique. I have two standard antique carbon bulbs though, but the one in the middle of the first row is a carbon replica. You can tell it’s a replica because of the modern bulb shape, dummy vacuum tube on top (real one in the base), and lack of cotton. :meow:

Wow, I rarely see any mechanical/electrical art that manages to make perfect sense and look beautiful at the same time!

Impressive. Nice thoughts aswell. I just can't believe the low view and fav count. Same for your other light bulb stuff.

:iconhappytwilightplz: Thank you very much for the comments and the faves! …As for a low view/fave count, that’s partially my fault because I haven’t yet taken the time to fave or comment on other similar works from people that might be interested. I really haven’t been on DA too long, and since the semester started, haven’t really had time to look. Ponies on the other hand seem to bombard me like crazy! :iconrarityisscaredplz:
But, there will be more light bulb stuff over time. I recently prepared a new sheet of plywood and several sockets at the ready.

I also don't fav tons of stuff just to get attention. I mostly was lucky cuz EQD featured me a couple of times ;)

Just keep up the good work and I am sure you will get the attention you deserve ;)
You're thoughts about the things you do are very intressting. Maybe write some journals ;)

Much thanks for your generous feedback! And I agree about not faving stuff just to get attention. To be honest, I haven’t seen too many pieces that focus on light bulbs themselves rather than the lamp. I’d like to get something from this guy when I have some sort of disposable income.
Wow, I’d thought you’d have a few thousand views being featured on EQD! Don’t know if I’ve been featured anywhere other than a few groups, but I’m not too concerned. I do need to write more journals for sure though.
Thank you for the encouragement! Also, keep up the the awesome vectors. (:iconrarityshockedplz: GASP! I forgot to watch you!)

Actually 3000 views cuz of vectr from the 50million banner. And around 1200 for a drawfriend picture.

However that was exactly the thing I needed to get started. I did not have a single watcher 2-3 weeks ago even tho I already had 6 pony vectors and around 20 other old things (not pony related)
I wish you good luck with your lamps. Maybe share this on a christian forum. A friend of mine who is a strong believer said this is incredibly awesome.

I personal like the wire in the "god" bulb the most.

My Rarity’s Secret just got featured on EQD. :iconapplejackgaspplz: …That was unexpected!
Same here with watchers. As soon as I joined the :iconmlp-vectorclub:, I got a bunch of watchers.
Thank you again for yet more feedback! I wish I had the equipment to blow/vacuum/gas glass bulbs. I’d try to make neon pony bulbs! :iconfluttershyishappyplz:
